Women with ADHD

A girl with ADHD may be labeled as a Chatty Cathy, or she could be a daydreamer—the smart, shy teenager with the disorganized locker. But the frustrating symptoms of ADHD can hinder everything from relationships to careers.

Women with ADHD report feeling constantly overwhelmed and incapable of meeting their own basic expectations for organizing activities, remembering special occasions, planning meals and even doing laundry. They are also more prone to eating disorders, obesity, low self-esteem, depression and anxiety.

But there are proven strategies you can deploy to cope with life's demands.

Parenting a Child with ADHD

Parents of children with ADHD are often overwhelmed by the behavior of their kids, which is then compounded by the usual stressors in their everyday lives.

Parents must take the lead in protecting their children in so many environments—social, academic, sports, family—so they desperately need effective tools and strategies they can deploy that will benefit their children and reduce their own stress. I team up with parents to teach them the skills they need to be able to give their kids the support they need.

If you are feeling depressed, frustrated or exhausted, ask for help. Reducing your own stress will also benefit your child.
